Before founding NexTier, I spent over a decade leading technology for multi-location organizations across nonprofit and member associations, healthcare organizations, supply chain and logistics companies, and professional services firms. Along the way, I owned multi-million-dollar IT budgets, consolidated server infrastructure by 73%, and negotiated more than $500K in vendor savings. I've been the person accountable for keeping systems running across 20+ locations, not just advising from the sidelines.
A lot of that work meant taking manual, paper-based processes and turning them into something faster and more reliable, replacing outdated workflows with systems that actually held up under real day-to-day use. I've also led the IT side of designing and opening new offices, planning and standing up the network, infrastructure, and systems from the ground up, along with infrastructure modernization projects, tightened security posture across distributed environments, and disaster recovery plans that were actually tested, not just written down and filed away.
Throughout that time, I've also served as part of senior leadership teams, not just supporting technology decisions from the outside but sitting in the room where they were made.
That experience taught me that most businesses don't need more technology. They need the right technology, backed by someone who's actually run it before and makes sure the systems work and the decisions make sense. NexTier exists to bring that same level of ownership to organizations that don't have it in-house.
